I've been working hard to very hard over the past couple weeks to make a disc golf course happen in Clark County. This week I got permission from Battle Ground School District and Vancouver/Clark Parks to hold a tournament at Pleasant Valley Park. The date is April 12th and I am going to rent baskets to set up the course and use it for my Spring League Finale and hold the course open afterwards for neighbors and friends that aren't involved in the league. I really hope to use it as a kick off to get final approval and start raising serious money to build a course there permanently.

It is pretty exciting to see this thing take off lately. I also made contact with an attorney with the city that is excited about disc golf. Hopefully, that will help if we have to get all legal on someone to make this happen. The only entity I haven't talked to yet is the neighborhood association that borders the park just on the south side. I've got the phone number for the president of the organization and will be calling him to invite him and other neighbors out to play disc golf on that Saturday.

Beyond that, I have been doing a lot of programming at work lately which is fun. I've been working on a time off approval system that is done all through our corporate intranet web site. The hard part is that I have been working on this in phases and adding features as I go. The users get impatient though when they see the new features and then want it to do one more thing. Oh well, it is 100 times better than the old system already.

We had a great Easter. It was fun spending time with Ken & La Chel on Saturday and then they went to Easter service on Sunday with us. We didn't do much after that, but we did make the boys participate in an Easter Egg hunt by Lorraine and I hiding 90 eggs around the house. With older boys now, you can hide them in the really hard places! It was fun to see them running around trying to gather more eggs than each other. We had over 440 people attend services on Sunday at Compass and over 700 show up for an egg hunt the church did in cooperation with the neighborhood school PTSA. It is neat to see God working to make all these things come together.
