Teaching Kids Disc Golf
This week and the last week of August I am helping to teach disc golf to some kids in a day camp program at Hough Elementary School in Vancouver. About 40 kids each day are enrolled in the program and our goal is to introduce them to the game and teach them a few skills they can use if they get out and play at a local course with their families.
Monday we introduced the sport and showed them some basic throws and worked on our approach shots. Today we worked on putting. Thursday we will work on our long distance throws (drives). And Friday we will put it all together and play some disc golf and have a skills test for the kids.
