I've been working hard to very hard over the past couple weeks to make a disc golf course happen in Clark County. This week I got permission from Battle Ground School District and Vancouver/Clark Parks to hold a tournament at Pleasant Valley Park. The date is April 12th and I am going to rent baskets to set up the course and use it for my Spring League Finale and hold the course open afterwards for neighbors and friends that aren't involved in the league. I really hope to use it as a kick off to get final approval and start raising serious money to build a course there permanently.

If you haven't seen hulu yet, it is pretty amazing the old shows they have available for watching. Pink Panther was a regular Saturday morning show for us kids. This episode is less than 6 minutes long. Enjoy.

I've been using WinDirStat for quite some time now to find those huge files that are eating up my disc space. I recommend this simple to use program that doesn't even need to be "installed" on your computer. You can just copy the files to a directory or a flash memory device and run it from there.

I had a great time Sunday playing on one of the nicest disc golf courses in the Pacific Northwest. Milo McIver State Park in Estacada, Oregon is an amazing course. The longest hole on the course is over 1,000 feet long (par 5, I wish!) There are also several holes over 500'. My rating was better than my average so I continue to get better. I found a pretty cool web site recently that automates downloading data from my cell phone, like pictures and messages. It posts items from my phone to a web page. I can determine if items are public or private. You can see my public page at the following link: dashwire.com/Discwog

So, I was cleaning up my web server last week and I managed to delete the database that contained all of my previous blog posts. I have a couple backups of the data, but I couldn't find anything current. So rather than restore my web site back to some date last year, I decided to redo everything.

I'm using brand new software, so there is going to be a fairly major learning curve as I create my new site. The features of this software are tremendous. From one application I can create a blog, forum, post articles, polls, create pages, books, you name it.
